September 2014:
BACK TO JUDO on September 28 !! September 28 is our first practice after the refurbishment of the recreation center. We will have new mats and a fixed-up room. Hope to see all of you there at 9:45am to put down the mats and put up Kano Shian's picture. Please register on-line with Judo Ontario. Please also fill out our own dojo registration form.

July 2014:
A weekly 9 lesson summer course at the Agincourt Recreation Center Craft Room 1:
Eligibility: For ages 8 to 16.
Cost: $50.00 club fee plus $15.00 Judo Ontario.
Time: Thursday evenings: 6:15 to 7:30.
Date: July 3 to August 28.
How to join: Come and talk to us at one of our regular practices, Tuesday and Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings.

August 2013:
Scarborough Dojo celebrates completion of a very successful 10 week Judo technical development program. This special instruction program was coached by Mr. Jim Doherty (6th Degree Black Belt) and hosted by the Scarborough Dojo at the Agincourt Recreation Center. Judo registration for the 2013/14 season begins on 24 September at the Agincourt RC.New students are welcome!

September 2012:
Scarborough Dojo will conduct its annual registration for new students during the first week of October 2013. New members between the ages of 10 and 18 will be accepted. Please come to the Agincourt Recreation Centre, 31 Glen Watford Drive and speak to us at one of the following times: Tuesday, 2 October, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, 4 October, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday, 7 October, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. New students, without prior Judo experience, will be asked to attend our beginner class for at least 3 months. This will give you some basic judo skills and will promote your safety. After this introductory period you will be free to attend the more advanced classes if you feel comfortable to do so. Our annual fees include membership with our Dojo and with Judo Ontario/Canada. The Judo Ontario/Canada membership is mandatory. The registration period is from September 2012 to August 2013, inclusive. Our annual fees for beginners are as follows: Dojo Fees $150.00 (Born from September 1, 1994 to September 1, 2002) $200.00 (Born August 31, 1994 and earlier) PLUS Judo Ontario/Canada Fees: $50.00 for ages 10 to 12 $80.00 for ages 13 to 18 You must register on-line with Judo Ontario, but please meet with us before doing this to make sure you will be joining our dojo.

January 2012:
Scarborough Dojo 2012 opening ceremonies. It will be held on Sunday evening, 29 January, at the Agincourt Recreation Center 7pm.

December 2011:
Mr. Graham Harding has passed the Shodan Grading on December 4th. Congratulations Graham!!

December 2011:
Mr. Graham Harding Black Belt Grading Exam on December 4th with Sensei Ian Yee. Good luck, Graham!!

November 2011:
2011 Ontario Youth International, at 291-296 Contestoga Drive Brampton, ON L6Z 3M1 JARC, on November 12, 2011 and November 13, 2011.

August 2009:
Henry Chan has been promoted to Second Degree Black Belt. Congratulations Henry!!

July 2009:
Jonathan and Antony Mastrogiacomo have been chosen for the annual Camp Budokan scholarship. Congratulations guys!

May 2009:
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Ian Yee to the rank of First Degree Black Belt.

More congratulations to Karla Gartner on her very successful application to medical school. Good luck in September!

March 2009:
Best of luck to Ian Yee on his new Judo program at the Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute. This program is sponsored by the ProAction Police Initiative.

February 2009:
Congratulations to Karla Gartner for her promotion to First Degree Black Belt on 18 January and for her Silver medal at the Ontario Senior Championships.
